directions
There are three cities to fly into, all three airports are almost exactly the same time and distance from the lodge. I prefer to fly into Missoula because you are out in the country in just minutes. However, Spokane is the largest of the three airports and often has the best connections. Spokane also has the latest approach instrumentation for low visibility and bad weather.
> Missoula, Montana: Leaving the airport take interstate 90 west to US 93 North to Hwy 200 west. Take 200 west all the way past the town of Noxon to Hwy 56 and take a right. We are on the right at exactly 7.2 miles. There are green mile markers on your right. Signs are not allowed on Montana scenic highways so watch for a turn out and three mail boxes on the right, one with a small lodge sign on top of it. Once on the driveway there are signs to the lodge.
> Kalispell, Montana: Take Hwy 2 west out of Kalispell to Hwy 56 which is 15 miles west of the town of Libby, Mt. Take a left onto Hwy 56 and proceed all the way past the eight mile marker. You are at the 35-mile marker at the intersection of hwy 2 and hwy 56. The lodge driveway is difficult to see from this direction. You will go over the Bull River and we are about another half mile on your left. There are three mailboxes and a turn out also on your left. (Very hard to see at night) Cell phones work at the intersection of Hwy 56 and Hwy 200, just 7 more miles.
> Spokane, Washington: Take interstate 90 east to Hwy 95 at Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Go north on Hwy 95 to Sandpoint, Idaho. Stay on Hwy 95 through Sandpoint and take Hwy 200 East toward Montana. You should enter Montana at the Idaho 63-mile marker where they start with mile 1 in Montana. Stay on Hwy 200 to Hwy 56 at the 10-mile mile marker in Montana. Take a left onto Hwy 56. We are on the right at exactly 7.2 miles. There are green mile markers on your right. Signs are not allowed on Montana scenic highways so watch for a turn out and three mailboxes on the right, one with a small lodge sign on top of it. Once on the driveway there are signs to the lodge.
