Welcome to the Bighorn Lodge
The Big Horn Lodge is Located in the scenic Bull River Valley in between the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness and the Scotchman’s Peak Proposed Wilderness in Western Montana, outside the charming town of Noxon. Enjoy hiking, canoeing, and horseback riding, and fishing out our back door! Or just relax and enjoy in the photogenic views while taking in the incredible clean mountain air.
Over the past few years the Bighorn Lodge has gradually made the change from accommodating individuals for short stays to accommodating a wide variety of groups. This has worked perfectly well for each of the groups, and our focus is now more on accommodating groups who rent the entire lodge for three or more days. We no longer rent single rooms, just the entire Lodge.
We welcome any variety of groups such as family get-together and reunions, friends, quilting groups, businesses, bikers, kayak clubs, bridge groups, photography clubs, retreats, and the possibilities are many.
The only real difference in our operations now is that we do not cook any meals but allow all guests to use our commercial kitchen. The kitchen is stocked to the hilt with every utensil you would ever need for cooking and serving food. Basics such as spices, flour, sugar, etc. are provided. So be sure to bring with you the grocery items you need for your meals, and if you miss something there are two small grocery stores in our area. Larger grocery stores are one hour away in Sandpoint, Idaho or Libby, Montana. For those who may want to dine out there are several local restaurants nearby.
The Bighorn Lodge is a western style lodge. There are activities and things to do for everyone whether your group is a family with children, a couple looking for a quiet get-away in one of the most beautiful mountainous regions of Montana, an avid fly fisherman looking for uncrowded streams and rivers, or a fly fisherman’s wife who may not share his love of rainbow and cutthroat trout... shopping in the nearby resort town of Sandpoint Idaho!
Six spacious rooms, including the Bighorn Suite, all with private baths are available for your next visit to North Western Montana.
In our nineteen years in the lodging and Bed and Breakfast business the one major compliment we continually receive is the comment that the “Lodge feels like home and that this area gives the best chance to really live and feel what Montana is all about”.
Another compliment to the Lodge is that a major portion of our annual business has now become repeat guests.
You can take over this beautiful, comfortable, rustic lodge with a beautiful setting overlooking the Bull River, mountains, and lots and lots trees for YOUR gathering! There is much to see and do... and so we now look forward to welcoming you!Sincerely,
Dave and Karen Nye
